The latest timetables are now indicating that Philippine Airlines (PAL) will keep good on its promise to launch nonstop flights between its Manila hub and New York in the autumn.

Starting November 5 2018, PR126 will depart Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) every Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 6.30 pm, and arrive at New York's JFK Airport at 9.00 pm for a flight time of 15 hours and 30 minutes.  The return flight, PR127, leaves JFK airport at 2.00 am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and return to Manila at 6.10 am.  Although PAL has not yet officially announced at the time of this post when the nonstop service will commence, it is already available for booking on PAL's website.

The Boeing 777-300ER (77W) will initially be used when the Manila-New York sector becomes nonstop.  However, PAL is expected to eventually deploy its upcoming A350 to the said route.  PAL is expected to receive its first of its six A350s in the middle of 2018.

Since PAL reintroduced its Manila-New York service in 2015, both sectors feature a stopover at Vancouver.  Once PAL's Manila-New York service becomes nonstop, passengers can save more than four hours.  This will also become PAL's second nonstop service to the East Coast of North America after the flag carrier introduced a nonstop Manila-Toronto service last December.

Meanwhile, because PR126 and PR127 will eliminate the stopover at Vancouver, PR116 and PR117 will become a daily service on November 4.  Starting then, PR116 will depart Manila at 7.00 pm and arrive in Vancouver at 2.40 pm, whilst PR117 will depart Vancouver at 12.45 am and arrive at 6.20 am the following day.  The 77W will continue to be used on the Manila-Vancouver route.
