Philippine Airlines Cuts New Delhi
Philippine Airlines will be cancelling its service to the Indian capital of New Delhi effective June 17, 2013 as a result of weak demand on the route.
The Airbus A320 flight which travels via Bangkok enroute to Delhi will continue to service the capital of Thailand with 19 weekly flights. That number is expected to increase to 20 weekly flights from September 1, 2013 onwards.

New Delhi has not been a profitable market for Philippine Airlines. The airline has been forced to gradually downgrade the route since its inception. It began with A330 service followed by a capacity reduction utilizing the much smaller A320 aircraft and now the route has been cancelled completely. Philippine Airlines will make alternate arrangements for passengers travelling after June 17 on partner airlines.
