The airline intends to increase seat capacity by 33% on routes between Manila and Hanoi in Vietnam and Manila and Guangzhou in China.
According to Candice Iyog, Vice President of Marketing & Distribution, Vietnam and China are two of the fastest growing source markets of foreign tourists. "We continue to support the government's tourism goals," said Iyog, referring to the increased connectivity between the two countries.

Cebu Pacific plans to increase its flights between Manila and Hanoi to three times per week beginning on October 13, 2013. The airline will be using its Airbus A319 aircraft. At present, Cebu Pacific is the only carrier offering direct flights between the two cities. Hanoi is a popular tourist destination in Vietnam serving as the gateway to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.
The airline will also increase its weekly services between Manila and Guangzhou up to four flights per week beginning on November 2, 2013. That represents a 25% increase in seat capacity. In addition to capturing increased demand for service, it is likely that Cebu Pacific is trying to strengthen its position on the route given the announcement that Philippine Airlines will be restoring service between Manila and Guangzhou on July 16, 2013 following a seventeen year absence.
Cebu Pacific continues to expand its operations throughout Asia and the Middle East as it takes delivery of brand new aircraft from Airbus. The additional flights are intended to increase flexibility to passengers by providing more scheduling options.
