Clark Airport in Pampanga will serve as the airline's second destination in the Philippines after Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila. The inaugural flight touched down at 10:00am on October 28 with more than 150 passengers on board including several Filipino overseas workers.
"Indeed Clark is blessed, as the World's Five Star Airline, Qatar Airways has selected Clark as its second destination in the Philippines," said Victor Luciano, CEO of Clark International Airport. He added that with the new daily flight from Doha, he expects more tourists to visit the Philippines from the Middle East.

According to Woo Yew Seong, Qatar Senior Vice President for Commercial Operations, Clark was selected as the airline's second destination because of its "strategic" location and future as the Philippines' next international gateway. He added that the airline is looking forward to increasing their operations at Clark International Airport.
The route will be operated by an Airbus A330-300 aircraft. The modern aircraft enjoys a worldwide reputation for its versatility and capability to cover both short and long-haul flights. It is preferred by a number of airlines for its large-capacity underfloor holds which boosts cargo capacity.

For passengers headed to Clark from Manila, the airline is offering complimentary bus transfers from Resorts World Manila across from NAIA Terminal 3 to Clark International Airport via Trinoma Mall in Quezon City. Qatar Airways is offering introductory promotions for Clark passengers that include additional frequent flyer miles and an additional baggage allowance of 40 kilograms.
Qatar Airways isn't the first Middle Eastern airline to be recruited by Clark. Earlier this month, Emirates, ranked the world's best airline, began daily non-stop flights between Clark and Dubai utilizing a Boeing 777-300 aircraft on October 1.
Idea: why not use Clark for OFW flights?
