Cebu Pacific Expands Self Check-In Options
Passengers travelling on Cebu Pacific can now enjoy more convenient ways to check-in for their flights after the budget carrier recently announced that it would be expanding its self check-in services to include all flights within the Philippines.
Previously, Cebu Pacific only made self check-in available to passengers on Airbus jet aircraft flights within and from the Philippines. With the new announcement, passengers travelling on board ATR turbo-prop aircraft flights may now also enjoy the convenience of self check-in at one of the airline's kiosks in 20 different airports around the Philippines.
Cebu Pacific currently operates a number of turbo-prop flights within the Philippines to destinations such as Caticlan, Naga, Siargao, Camiguin, and Busuanga.
"We are pleased to satisfy the needs of even more travelers, especially since ATR turbo-prop aircraft is often used for inter-island flights," said Candice Iyog, VP for Marketing and Distribution. "Foreign and local leisure tourists can take advantage of this check-in option free of charge, so they can breeze through the check-in process and start their vacation sooner."
By using self check-in kiosks, passengers are able to better manage their travel time while enjoying the convenience of selecting their own seats. Self check-in is only available from four hours to one hour prior to the flight's scheduled departure time. If the passenger does not have any luggage for check-in, they may proceed directly to the boarding gate while passengers with check-in bags must proceed to a baggage drop counter.
According to Cebu Pacific, approximately 16 percent of its passengers used self check-in kiosks in December. The service is not available to expectant mothers, guests with infants, unaccompanied minors, groups exceeding ten passengers, or those requiring special assistance.
