Air Republiq: The Local Airline with the Personal Touch

Tourists exploring the country's popular tourist destinations of Batanes and Palawan may not be aware that there is another choice for affordable air travel in the country. Founded in 2011, Air Republiq was created to provide a connection between the islands of Batanes and various cities in Luzon. With its focus on providing passengers with a unique travel experience, Air Republiq has successfully grown over the years. The regional carrier recently announced plans to expand its network beyond Batanes to serve Coron in Northern Palawan.

Passengers that have flown with Air Republiq know that the airline has always been committed to providing more than just transportation to destinations. With the dominance of low-cost carriers in the Philippines, this small regional airline has always aimed to provide passengers with an entirely new level of experience in the air. By offering a comfortable environment combined with reliable and personal service, Air Republiq aims to eliminate the stress of travelling for passengers.

With service from Manila to Cauayan, Laoag, Basco, Itbayat, Tuguegarao, and eventually Coron, Air Republiq prides itself on bringing the islands closer to its passengers. The airline currently offers daily flights between Manila and its hub in Basco. Passengers are treated to warm Filipino hospitality at every stage of their trip especially in-flight where passengers enjoy complimentary snack and beverage service. French Toasters is the official in-flight caterer of Air Republiq and passengers travelling to one of the airline's many destinations get to enjoy a delicious French toast sandwich on every flight.

Last year, the airline acquired its first BAe Jetstream 41 aircraft for use on its routes connecting Manila to under served destinations. The carrier accepted delivery of a second Jetstream 41 aircraft in the first quarter of 2014 with plans to acquire another aircraft before the third quarter. Considered one of the fastest turbo-prop aircraft in the industry, these 32-seat aircraft offer a high level of comfort and reliable performance that is well suited to the varying weather conditions of Batanes and the Philippines.

Fares from Manila to Batanes are available for as little as P3,788 each way including all taxes. The airline plans to procure an Air Operators Certificate from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines in 2014 enabling the carrier to possibly begin international flights to Malaysia and Taiwan by 2015.

  2. They didn't follow the requisites of establishing an airline thus the operations closed. They've sourced out money from their applicants. Too Bad :/

  3. This airline is a scam. I came from an FA school which neednt to mention. This airline was renamed and thru a friend from CAAP, I discovered that they are operating and hiring people hence their license is not yet approved by CAAP. My colleagues were 20, who they were asking 20k training bond right away before signing the contract and promised that it will be returned after a year of service. Training supposed to lasts for a month and a half as stated on the contract and an allowance should be included but 3 months had passed and the training havent finished yet and allowance wasnt given. Seems like it is an inside job with FA school and the airline itself because they tend hire students and when the issue was brought up they advised the victims of this airline to keep their mouth shut and discouraged not to file a case because it will take time and money.
