Cebu Pacific Adjusts A330 Schedules for July

Cebu Pacific will continue to use its 436-seat Airbus A330-300 aircraft on its route from Manila to Taipei based on the latest schedules released by the carrier. The Taipei A330 service was originally scheduled to end at the beginning of June but will now be extended to July 21.

The airline will continue to operate two weekly A330-300 flights to Taipei with a third weekly service expected to begin on June 13. Flights will depart Manila at 11:10pm arriving in Taipei at 1:10am the following day. The return flight departs Taipei at 3:35am and arrives in Manila at 5:35am.

Cebu Pacific also plans to temporarily increase its A330 flights to Singapore to twice daily service for the first half of June. Until June 15, an A330 aircraft will operate flight 5J 805 and 5J 806. Flight 5J 805 departs Manila at 1:20pm and arrives in Singapore at 4:45pm. The return flight, 5J 806, departs Singapore at 6:15pm and arrives in Manila at 9:40pm.

Cebu Pacific has been conducting trials of its A330 aircraft on domestic flights from Manila to Cebu and Davao. The trials were only expected to last through to mid-June. However, it appears that the carrier has decided to extend its domestic A330 service to Davao into July. Cebu Pacific will continue operating its 436-seat aircraft on two daily flights between Manila and Davao. Earlier this year, the airline reported that its A330 trials on the Davao route had been successful. However, the shorter Cebu route did not perform as well with the larger aircraft.

Meanwhile, the carrier continues to finalise plans for its next long haul destinations. Although no formal announcements have been made, it is believed that the carrier will begin service to both Saudi Arabia and Australia before the end of this year. Flights to Riyadh and Dammam are planned for the third quarter of this year, while flights to Sydney, Australia are expected in the fourth quarter.
