Cathay Dragon Introduces Hong Kong-Davao Flights

Passengers from Davao now have a direct connection to Hong Kong.  On October 28, Cathay Pacific subsidiary Cathay Dragon started flying between Hong Kong and Davao.

The flight is offered four times a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays).  The Airbus A320 is deployed on the route.  However, for the inaugural flight, an Airbus A321 was used.  A fifth flight during the week that will last during the Christmas period is being considered according to Cathay Pacific Country Manager Rob Bradshaw.

Ronald Lam, Cathay Pacific's director for commercial and cargo, indicated that a 'recent surge in economic activities' has allowed the group to introduce a new flight to this city.

Transport Undersecretary Manuel Antonio Tamayo was 'very happy that the people of Hong Kong and the people of Davao and Mindanao are finally connected through this new route' and that the new route would provide more tourism and trade opportunities for the two cities.  These sentiments were shared by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi who mentioned the opportunities to benefit Davao City's economic progress as well as inform and remind tourists about how safe the city is.  Likewise, Davao City Mayor Sarah Duterte said that the new route is a 'concrete manifestation that Davao is an emerging destination in Southeast Asia'.

With a link to Hong Kong, passengers originating from Davao can access the Cathay Pacific Group's extensive network which includes Greater China, Europe, the United States, and Canada.  Likewise, passengers coming from Hong Kong or these other cities can bypass the busier Ninoy Aquino International Airport on their way to Davao, thus saving time.

Davao also becomes the fourth Philippine city served by an airline that belongs to the Cathay Pacific Group after Manila, Cebu, and Clark.  Singapore Airlines (SIA) subsidiary SilkAir also serves Davao, connecting the city with Singapore's Changi Airport and the SIA Group's extensive network.  Later in December, Xiamen Air will launch a thrice-weekly flight between Davao and Jinjiang.

  3. I was looking for a terminal that is designed to manage license files. I realized that I would not be able to find one in my city and would have to look for options in online stores. And I accidentally found a cool online store where I ordered Terminal, license with delivery to my city. This is exactly what I needed. Terminal from the proven best manufacturer with excellent features and at a nice price. I am very glad I found this store
