Philippine Airlines receives third A350-1000
On July 29 2026, flag carrier Philippines receives the third of its nine A350-1000s (A35K) from its original order revealed in March 2023.
RP-C3512 arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 9.18 am.
According to its social media accounts, PAL says the arrival of its third A35K marks another milestone as it continues to build its future, "one flagship at a time". Three more orders of the A35K are expected to arrive this year with RP-C3513 currently undergoing test flights back in Tolouse.
Each PAL's A35K comes with a total of 382 seats.
PAL has likewise announced expanded plans for the A35K over the coming weeks and months. For one, some of its weekly flights to San Francisco will start receiving A35K service from August 5 2026. PAL expects to upgrade the route to a daily A35K service in the following month as it receives more of the aircraft type. PAL will also stage several one-off A35K flights to Davao City on August 13 and 16 in time for the Kadayawan Festival, where around 250,000 people are expected to attend.
PAL vice president for sales and distribution Justin Warby comments that “Bringing our newest flagship aircraft to Davao for this occasion is our way of joining the festivities in true PAL fashion — giving our passengers a flight experience as memorable as the destination itself”.
The A35Ks currently fly regularly to PAL's North American east coast destinations of New York (JFK) and Toronto Pearson airport.
Just last week at the Farnborough airshow, PAL has signed a memorandum of understanding to purchase nine additional A35Ks from Airbus for delivery between 2034 and 2036, with an option for five more. This means over the next decade, PAL can have up to 23 A35Ks in the fleet.
