The deal signed with US-based Intrepid Aviation represents the fifth and sixth A330-300 aircraft that the airline has on order. These aircraft are expected to be delivered between 2014 and 2015. The airline plans to operate a total of six long-haul A330 aircraft by 2015.
Cebu Pacific received delivery of its first A330 aircraft in June which has been deployed on services to Singapore and Korea while a second A330 is expected in September which will service the airline's first long haul destination, Dubai.
According to Alex Reyes, General Manager of Cebu Pacific's Long Haul Division, the additional A330 aircraft will enable the airline to continue exploring other regions to serve including the Middle East, Australia, parts of Europe, and the United States.
