The airline revealed in a disclosure to the Singapore Stock Exchange that it will service the Chinese cities of Shanghai, Ningbo, and Nanjing with charter service to Boracay via Kalibo in the second quarter of 2014. The Department of Tourism reports that the number of visitors from China to the Philippines increased by just over 18% in the first five months of 2013.

Tigerair also launched the only direct service between Kalibo and Singapore earlier this month. The airline plans to increase its selection of international flights to both Singapore and Thailand. According to Olive Ramos, CEO of Tigerair Philippines, the airline wants to be connected to every major city in the Philippines as well as to major cities internationally.
