Philippine Airlines Shifts Domestic Routes to PAL Express

Philippine Airlines began the month of August by transferring the majority of its domestic routes to its subsidiary, PAL Express. The airline has left only three destinations in its domestic network.

On August 1, Philippine Airlines transferred the following routes to PAL Express:

  • Manila to Bacolod (5 daily)
  • Manila To Iloilo (5 daily)
  • Manila to Laoag (10 weekly)
  • Manila to Tagbilaran (3 daily)
  • Manila to General Santos (3 of 10 weekly)
The remaining routes in the Philippine Airlines domestic network are:
  • Manila to Cebu (81 flights weekly)
  • Manila to Davao (52 flights weekly)
  • Manila to Kalibo (5 weekly)

  1. I knew it!.. All Domestic routes will be manage by PAL Express group..while all International routes by PAL group, by this strategy both group compliment each other..walang sapawan..and much better to monitor than having both PAL and PAL express service both same routes..it also pave way to more route expansion..like PALExpress group can file route expansion using PAL flight rights for domestic routes, at the same time PAL Group can expand using PAL express flight rights for international...great strategy!
