Philippine Airlines Appoints European Sales Representative
Philippine Airlines has appointed Paris based Air Promotion Group as its sales and marketing representative in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Finland, Switzerland, Lebanon, Jordan, Cyprus, Turkey, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, and Israel.
The APG Global Group will be responsible for providing complete sales and marketing services in addition to ticketing, customer support, and administrative services to clients of Philippine Airlines. APG will also be able to provide services under the IATA BSP Consolidator System in multiple countries that will enable Philippine Airlines to open up ticketing operations complete with billing and settlement plans in an additional 20 countries around the world.
Philippine Airlines was recently granted permission to restore flights to the European Union in July after Philippine carriers were banned from operating any flights into the EU in 2010. Although the ban was only in place for 3 years, Philippine Airlines had not served Europe in 15 years. The airline recently resumed services to London Heathrow on November 4. The airline is planning to add a number of other European destinations to its network in 2014 including Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, and Frankfurt.
