Manila Airport Ranks Eighth Worst in the World
The Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila has been ranked yet again among the worst airports in the world. According to the Wall Street Cheat Sheet, a US financial media company, the country's main gateway was ranked 8 out of the 10 world's worst airports as a result of overcapacity issues in Terminal 1 and Terminal 3.
In the publication, the worst airports in the world were characterized for their "smelly bathrooms, long lines, and rude staff." In the case of Ninoy Aquino International Airport, terminals 1 and 3 were highlighted as "particularly crammed."
The latest report criticized the country's busiest airport citing a CNN Travel article that described the terminals at NAIA as "beleaguered by ground crew strikes, unkempt conditions, soup kitchen-style lines that feed into more lines and an overall sense of futility, NAIA brings the term "Stuck in the 1970's to a new level."
Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila ranked in this latest survey alongside other airports around the world including Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Kenya, Tribhuvan International in Nepal, and London Heathrow in the United Kingdom. The three worst airports were Chicago Midway International Airport and John F. Kenny International Airport in New York with the Sao Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport in Brazil ranking as the world's worst.
