Airlines Add Transfer Services to Boracay Island
Low-cost carriers in the Philippines are capitalising further on the popularity of the country's hottest tourist destination, Boracay Island, with the addition of transfer services made available on flights bound for Kalibo International Airport.

AirAsia Zest and Tigerair Philippines have entered into agreements with Southwest Tours under a specially-priced agreement to provide seamless transfer services to Boracay Island for their passengers arriving at Kalibo International Airport.
According to Olive Ramos, President of Tigerair Philippines, the new transfer service is designed as an innovative solution for passengers to make travelling to Boracay Island as smooth and stress-free as possible. "With us, your vacation begins the moment you board any of our daily direct flights to Kalibo from Manila, Clark or even Singapore by availing of the Tiger Transfer Service," said Ramos. "With our Tiger Transfer Service, our passengers will get to the island paradise of Boracay via the seamless multiple transfer service at the convenience of just one ticket."

When passengers utilise the Tiger Transfer Service, only one ticket is required for the journey all the way to Boracay Island. The transfer service includes air-conditioned bus service from Kalibo International Airport to Caticlan Port, an air-conditioned express boat transfer to Boracay Port, and land transportation direct to your hotel. The Tiger Transfer Service can be purchased on board all Tigerair flights bound for Kalibo and at airport check-in counters in Manila or Clark.
AirAsia Zest is also providing land and ferry transfers on board their flights. AirAsia Zest's Boracay Island Transfer Service is available for sale aboard all flights between Manila and Kalibo for just P520 per person each-way. The transfer takes all guests to any hotels located in stations 1, 2 and 3. However, if a guest is staying outside of the various stations, additional charges will apply.
"As soon as our guests hop off from the comfort of our Airbus A320's at the airport, they would be able to reach their hotel's front door with ease via comfortable buses and modern fast crafts of our most trusted local one-stop transportation partner, Southwest Tours," said Joy Caneba, AirAsia Zest Chief Operating Officer.
Tigerair Philippines currently flies from Manila and Clark to Kalibo. Tigerair was the first airline to offer direct service between Singapore and Kalibo. AirAsia Zest currently flies from Manila to Kalibo with seasonal service from Shanghai, Seoul, and Busan. AirAsia Zest's sister carrier, AirAsia Malaysia, will begin flying direct from Kalibo to Kuala Lumpur in April.
